||About the Author||Thomas Birtchnell is Lecturer in the Department of Geography and Sustainable Communities at the University of Wollongong, Australia. Previously he was Research Associate at the Centre for Mobilities Research (CeMoRe), Lancaster University, UK.

Birtchnell and Hoyle explore how printers, designs, materials and infrastructures all need to be 'just right' in order for meaningful social change to happen with appropriate scale.
